The Federal Agency for Civic Education (http://www.bpb.de) invites to the NECE Conference 2020: „Reconnecting in a post pandemic world. Citizenship education for democracy and sustainability“ from 5 to 7 November 2020.
On the occasion of the German EU presidency, NECE (Networking European Citizenship Education) – the European platform for citizenship education will hold the 2020 edition of its annual conference in an online format.
The conference will highlight the necessity of citizenship education in a world of pandemic and ecological risk. Citizenship education is more than ever a public good which ought to be at the top of political priorities in Europe and other parts of the world.
More than 15 panels and workshops will be accessible via live broadcasts, video conferencing and platforms for digital networking, focusing on the three central thematic clusters of NECE 2020: ‘Redefining citizenship education’, ‘Restarting Europe’ and ‘Rethinking the world’.
